Mr. Abdellatif Hammouchi, Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance of Morocco, conducted a working visit to the United Arab Emirates from September 23 to 26. The visit aimed to strengthen and develop security cooperation between the two countries and exchange expertise in police training and security capacity building.
Key points of the visit:
- Signing a memorandum of understanding between the Royal Institute of Police in Morocco and the Sief bin Zayed Academy for Police and Security Sciences in the UAE, to enhance cooperation in advanced training and education.
- Conducting extensive talks with Major General Pilot Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, on ways to develop joint security cooperation.
- Meeting with His Excellency Ali Obaid Al Dhaheri, Head of the UAE’s National Intelligence Service, to discuss issues of joint security work and the security situation in the regional and international environment.
- Visiting the “Safe City” facility of Abu Dhabi Police, a pioneering technical project in the use of artificial intelligence in security and traffic fields.
- Reviewing the latest technologies and technological solutions adopted by Abu Dhabi Police in various security fields.
- Meeting with Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al-Raisi, President of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), to discuss comprehensive and multilateral security cooperation issues.
This visit comes within the framework of an integrated work program set by the Moroccan General Directorate of National Security and the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance. It aims to develop mechanisms for international security cooperation and expand areas of coordination and security partnerships with various security agencies in brotherly and friendly countries and relevant international organizations.
