Director of Spain’s Counter Terrorism Intelligence Center: “Security cooperation between our country and Morocco is at a good and steady pace”

As part of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Spanish Intelligence Center for Combating Terrorism and Organized Crime, Manuel Navarrete, director of the center, stressed that security cooperation between Spain and Morocco is at a good and steady pace.

In his remarks to the press, Navarrete pointed to the effective coordination between the Spanish and Moroccan police, civil guards and security forces, noting that this cooperation is essential in facing common challenges, especially in the areas of organized crime, terrorism and illegal migration.

The Spanish official explained the importance of combating illegal migration, describing this aspect of bilateral cooperation as very important, and emphasized that joint efforts with Morocco must be strengthened, noting the need to expand the scope of cooperation to include other countries in the region.
