Casablanca – Approximately 26 people experienced symptoms of food poisoning after consuming a “pastilla” dish during a family celebration in the Lahraouyine neighborhood of Casablanca.
The incident occurred during a ceremony held at a family home in the Lahraouyine district, where about 26 individuals, including children, were urgently transported to the hospital after experiencing severe abdominal pain and nausea.
The affected individuals received initial medical care at the Sidi Othman Hospital in Casablanca, where they were attended to by the medical staff. Their health condition has now stabilized.

Even the organizers of the feast are unaware of the true cause of this food poisoning, though they indicated that they had ordered the pastilla from a well-known local caterer, without naming them.
