The Minister of Health announced earlier this week in the House of Councillors that the prices of medicines used to treat chronic diseases, such as diabetes, kidney failure and heart disease, will be reduced.
The minister explained that this step comes as part of the government’s efforts to provide comprehensive and affordable healthcare to citizens, and to help vulnerable groups access affordable treatment.
