Rabat, Morocco – The National Airports Office (ONDA) has announced substantial investments to bolster security at three major airports in the Kingdom of Morocco.
On the fifteenth of this July, this public institution commissioned the Unisystem/Ultranet Multimedia group to upgrade and strengthen video surveillance systems, access control, and perimeter security at Ibn Batouta Airport in Tangier, with a budget exceeding 40 million dirhams.
Alomra Group International will receive 62 million dirhams for upgrading and reinforcing video surveillance systems, access control, and perimeter security at Oujda Angad Airport.
The third and final contract was won by the DDM/Melinet group for upgrading and strengthening video surveillance systems, access control, and perimeter security at Fez-Saïs Airport. This contract will cost ONDA more than 35 million dirhams, according to official documents reviewed by Maghreb-Intelligence magazine.
These significant investments come as part of ONDA’s efforts to enhance security and improve infrastructure at Moroccan airports, reflecting the kingdom’s commitment to developing the air transport sector and ensuring passenger safety.
It’s worth noting that these projects will contribute to raising the security level at these three important airports, which will enhance Morocco’s position as a safe tourist destination and a regional air transport hub.
