The Ministry of National Education, Primary Education and Sports, represented by the Directorate of Information System Management, was crowned with the Digital Excellence Award in the “Open Data” category, launched by the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, during the second edition of Gitex Africa2024, the specialized exhibition for information technology and startups in Africa, held in Marrakech from 29 to 31 May.
The Ministry is participating in this exhibition with a set of activities related to technological developments in various fields, such as artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, as this gathering is a global interface for technology, innovation and electronic networks, and an opportunity for participants to share their knowledge and expertise around three main themes: “Building a unified digital Africa”, “Connectivity” and “Digital Cities.” The Ministry’s network of ambassadors for the digital transition and administration reform is part of the second edition of Gitex Africa2024, which will be held in Marrakech from May 29th to the end of the year.
It is worth noting that the e-Government and Digital Ambassadors Network “Raid” launched the first edition of the “Riyada” Digital Excellence Award on April 17, 2024, with the aim of rewarding the public administration that is distinguished by its innovative digital services, encouraging successful efforts and initiatives in the field of digital management, motivating public administrations to adopt best practices in digital solutions for citizens and enterprises, and promoting the values of positive competition in the field of digital transformation.
