Today, the investigating judge referred the killer of the schoolgirl in the Boudarham neighborhood of Sefrou to “Borkaiz” prison. Al-Dhanin is scheduled to face the court on May 15, as decided by the Criminal Chamber of the Fez Court of Appeal. This comes after the suspect was arrested last Friday night.
According to sources close to the deceased victim’s family, the suspect assaulted seven other victims. Their parents filed complaints with the investigating judge this morning in Fez.
The suspect had previously kidnapped and assaulted a 13-year-old girl in the first days of Ramadan. He also attacked another student with a knife, as well as two students at Sidi Hassan Al-Yousi High School, where the deceased victim was studying.
On Friday, April 26, 2024, three schoolgirls were violently robbed, which led to the death of one of them from her serious injury, after she was transferred to the Hassan II University Hospital in Fez.
The three female students, who were studying in the first year of secondary school at Sidi Hassan Al-Yousi High School in the Boudrham area of Sefrou, were attacked with a knife by a young man in his twenties, as he tried to rob them.
One of the students bravely resisted the thief, and he stabbed her twice in the stomach with a knife. She was taken to the hospital, but unfortunately she died of her wounds after losing three liters of blood.
The suspect also attacked the two other students after trying to rob them, resulting in serious injuries to their faces and hands.
Members of the Royal Gendarmerie were able to arrest the suspect on Sunday, April 28, 2024, in the Kasbah area. He was hiding in a house and was arrested after a search that lasted more than 48 hours.
