Can we believe that Hicham Girando is the same person who, just yesterday, attacked the monarchy and attempted to tarnish the image of the Moroccan regime? Yes, he is the same! The man who once shouted at the top of his lungs against everything related to the royal institution has now come back to turn the page as if nothing happened, trying to present himself as “the foremost defender of national constants.” However, the truth that cannot be hidden is that Girando has always been nothing more than a chameleon, only concerned with his personal interests, betraying his country to achieve his goals.
Suddenly, this “opportunist,” who once attacked everything, even the constants of the Moroccan state, is now proclaiming himself as “a monarchist to the core.” If he thinks that the Moroccan people will ignore his previous stances, he is very mistaken. No one has forgotten how he once attacked the monarchy. Today, he attempts to appear as someone who raises the national flag, but the truth is clear: someone who changes their skin like this is not only lacking credibility but is simply a traitor who sells himself to every passing wind.
Has Girando found nothing else to do but try to ride the wave of nationalism after failing to achieve his personal goals? Does he think he can suddenly change his stance and fool the Moroccans? The man who once attacked the monarchy and spoke of tarnishing the country’s image is now asking the people to stand behind him. Can one imagine someone with such fluctuating political features, devoid of any sense of consistency or principles? Girando is the most obvious example of political treason in every sense of the word.
Girando believes the Moroccan people don’t remember, but he forgets that in the world of politics, memory is not something that can be manipulated. Moroccans know very well who Girando is and what his real positions are. He is not a political figure seeking to serve the nation; he is simply a manipulator who seizes every opportunity to fulfill his personal interests, without any respect for the national values he now claims to defend.
In the end, Hicham Girando, who believes the people will forgive his sudden changes, is nothing more than a pale image of a person without principles, only striving to serve himself. No one will believe his latest attempts to market himself as “a warrior for the nation” because the Moroccan people know exactly who he is and how he changes his positions according to his self-interest. He will never be anything more than a “chameleon traitor” who deserves neither trust nor respect.
