National Coordination of the Education Sector Denounces Exclusion of Broad Categories from Educational Inspector Competitions and Demands Action

Rabat, April 1, 2025 – In a statement issued on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, the National Coordination of the Education Sector expressed its strong condemnation of the exclusion of broad categories of male and female teachers from passing the entrance examinations for the training tracks of educational inspectors at the Educational Inspector Training Center, April 2025 session.

The statement explained that the Ministry of National Education, while male and female teachers were awaiting the announcement of the results of those promoted by selection for the year 2023, those who passed the professional examination, and those promoted by selection for the year 2024, announced competitions for entry into the training tracks of educational inspectors, which will deprive most male and female teachers of the opportunity to meet the condition of passing these competitions.

The Coordination pointed out that the excluded categories include those suspended from the educational movement, teachers of grade 10, physical education teachers, teachers promoted by selection, those who passed the professional examination, and those promoted by selection in 2024, primary school teachers specializing in the Arabic language, philosophy teachers in secondary qualifying, Islamic education teachers in preparatory and secondary education, and other specialties.

The National Coordination of the Education Sector considered that this exclusion represents a deprivation for thousands of male and female teachers of their right to pass these competitions, and demanded that the Ministry rectify the matter and take administrative measures that enable the excluded categories to pass these competitions.

The Coordination also demanded the cancellation of the unjust, oppressive, and illegal penalties against those suspended from the educational movement, and the resolution of all pending general and sectoral demands, and recorded the Ministry’s deliberate procrastination in announcing the results of promotions and examinations that have not been released to date.

It considered that these competitions lack credibility in light of the exclusion of many educational categories, and demanded that the Ministry rectify the matter by taking administrative measures that enable the excluded categories to pass these competitions.

The Coordination demanded that the Ministry resolve all pending general and sectoral demands for current and retired employees, especially the file of victims of the pre-2012 and post-2012 systems, and implement all signed agreements, the April 26, 2011 agreement, the December 10 and 26, 2023 agreements, and other agreements.

It called on all educational workers from all current and retired categories to further mobilize and prepare for more protest actions to achieve all general and sectoral demands.

It called on all field coordination bodies and all unions to unite to extract rights and achieve demands, and to drop the organizational law on strikes and confront the upcoming retirement plan.
