Fes.. A Solemn Religious Ceremony at the Mausoleum of Moulay Abdallah in Memory of the Kings of the Alaouite Dynasty

The mausoleum of Sultan Moulay Abdallah in Fes hosted a solemn religious ceremony last Friday in tribute to the late sultans and kings of the revered Alaouite dynasty, the ancestors of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful.

The ceremony was presided over by Mohammed Saad Eddine Smires, an official from the Royal Chamber, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Wilaya of the Fes-Meknes region, the President of the Regional Council, and the Secretary-General of the Mohammed VI Foundation for African Scholars, along with representatives of local authorities and external services.

Held after the Isha prayer, the event took place in an atmosphere of deep reverence and serenity, featuring the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and the chanting of prophetic praises.

This occasion served as an opportunity to reflect on the rich history of the Alaouite dynasty, celebrate its glorious achievements in religious and civilizational fields, and reaffirm its enduring leadership role throughout history.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, attendees offered prayers for the protection and long life of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, as well as for Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, Prince Moulay Rachid, and the entire royal family.

Prayers were also offered for the late kings Mohammed V and Hassan II, asking for God’s mercy upon them in recognition of their sacrifices for the nation and the Moroccan people.

As part of this occasion, a royal grant was distributed to several Quran memorizers, reflecting His Majesty’s high regard and support for those dedicated to preserving the Holy Book.
