The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs of the Kingdom of Morocco has announced that the monitoring of the crescent moon for Shawwal 1446 AH will take place tomorrow, Sunday, March 30, 2025.
In an official statement, the ministry called on the relevant authorities to observe the crescent moon after sunset tomorrow, in accordance with established traditions for determining the beginning of Shawwal, which marks the celebration of Eid al-Fitr. This step is part of the process to confirm the start of the new month through the traditional sighting of the moon, which is used by the Kingdom to determine major religious events.
It is important to note that the moon sighting process will involve specialized official committees distributed across different regions of the country to ensure accurate sightings and the unified announcement of the official declaration.
