As part of security measures to protect citizens and ensure their safety, police officers from the Regional Security Commissariat in Arfoud arrested a 21-year-old student on Thursday, March 27, 2025, on suspicion of assaulting a teacher at a vocational training institute using a sharp weapon.
The police were alerted to an incident in which the teacher was physically assaulted in a public street by the suspect, who struck and injured her with a sharp object. Thanks to the prompt intervention of the police, the suspect was apprehended shortly after the incident.
The assault sparked widespread reactions on social media, where a video circulated showing the victim falling to the ground after the attack, as well as the moment the suspect was arrested.
The investigation is ongoing under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor, with the suspect currently in police custody to complete investigations and clarify the circumstances of the incident and the criminal acts attributed to him.
