As part of intensified efforts to combat irregular migration, police officers from the Tétouan Security Directorate, in close coordination with their counterparts in Casablanca, arrested a 22-year-old man on the evening of Friday, March 28, on suspicion of spreading false news and inciting social media users to organize illegal migration.
This successful operation follows the detection by the National Police’s cybersecurity unit of posts and digital content urging individuals to breach the security fence separating the cities of Fnideq and Ceuta and directly inciting irregular migration. Through continuous technical investigations and field inquiries, the suspect’s identity was determined, leading to his arrest in the Bouskoura area on the outskirts of Casablanca.
The suspect has been placed under judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor to uncover all details of the case and identify the true motives behind these criminal acts.
This operation is part of the National Police and General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance’s strategy, which continues to intensify efforts to combat irregular migration networks and enhance social security. These measures are an integral part of the comprehensive security approach aimed at protecting public safety and countering activities that threaten national stability.
