Breaking News: Royal Court Announces New Appointments in Senior Positions (Names and Positions)

Statement from the Royal Court

His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, has appointed the following individuals on Friday, March 28, 2025:

  • Mrs. Rahma Bourkia as President of the Higher Council for Education, Training, and Scientific Research;
  • Mrs. Amina Bouayach has been reappointed as President of the National Human Rights Council;
  • Mr. Mohamed Al Habib Belkouch has been appointed as the Minister Delegate for Human Rights.

The royal decision to appoint the two women to the positions of President of the Higher Council for Education, Training, and Scientific Research, and the President of the National Human Rights Council reflects the King’s commitment to ensuring these institutions are led by competent and experienced individuals. This will enable them to continue fulfilling their constitutional roles, given the central powers entrusted to them by the constitution and their national and international challenges.

These appointments come as part of the ongoing special attention His Majesty the King has devoted to continuing reforms in the national education and training system, which is one of the national priorities aimed at enhancing human capital, the true wealth necessary to support the development model led by His Majesty with wisdom and foresight. They also align with the King’s continuous efforts to promote and protect human rights as a culture and practice, strengthening the international recognition of the achievements Morocco has made in this area.
