The 17th Edition of the Traditional Moroccan Wedding Festival Celebrates Craftsmanship and Heritage

As part of the 17th edition of the Traditional Moroccan Wedding Festival, organized by the Chamber of Traditional Industry of the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra Region in collaboration with the Chamber of Traditional Industry of the Fes-Meknes Region, the fifth day of the festival, held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at the “Nima” event hall in Rabat, witnessed the presence of a high-level delegation from the Fes-Meknes Region’s Chamber of Traditional Industry.

The delegation was headed by Mr. Naji Fkhari, President of the Chamber of Traditional Industry of Fes-Meknes, accompanied by his deputies, Mr. Mohsen Hamama and Mrs. Anwar Asal, as well as directors and officials from the chamber. The event was attended by several prominent figures in the field of traditional craftsmanship, where opening speeches emphasized the significance of this cultural event in preserving Morocco’s rich heritage.

The ceremony was also graced by the presence of Mr. Lahcen Saadi, Secretary of State for Traditional Industry and Social and Solidarity Economy, and Mr. Abdelrahim Zemmzami, President of the Chamber of Traditional Industry of the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra Region. They highlighted the success of the grand festival, which reflects Morocco’s commitment to preserving its cultural and civilizational heritage. They noted the event’s role in showcasing the high skills of Moroccan artisans in traditional wedding attire, while also ensuring the transmission of these crafts to future generations.

The event also featured a spectacular display of traditional wedding attire, designed by artisans from the Fes-Meknes and Rabat-Salé-Kenitra regions. The participants showcased exquisite designs that reflect the richness and uniqueness of Moroccan heritage.
