Commander of the Faithful Presides Over Religious Ceremony at the Royal Palace in Rabat to Commemorate Laylat al-Qadr

Rabat – The Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God grant him victory, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay Hassan, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, His Highness Prince Moulay Ahmed, and His Highness Prince Moulay Ismail, presided over a religious ceremony at the Royal Palace in Rabat on Thursday evening, the 26th of the blessed month of Ramadan 1446 AH, corresponding to March 27, 2025 AD, to commemorate the blessed Laylat al-Qadr.  

After the Isha and Tarawih prayers, Sahih al-Bukhari was concluded by Mr. Lahcen Id Said, a member of the Supreme Council of Scholars, after the “Hadith of Conclusion” was recited by Mr. Abdul Razzaq Tourabi, a member of the Local Council of Scholars in Rabat.

Subsequently, the reciter Maryam Asim (12 years old from Sidi Bennour), the first-place winner of the Mohammed VI National Award for Memorization, Recitation, and Tajweed of the Holy Quran, recited clear verses from the Holy Quran, then proceeded to greet His Majesty the King and receive the award from his hands.

This award reflects the noble care that the Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, has consistently shown to the memorizers of the Book of God and his firm determination to encourage the rising generation to memorize and recite the Holy Quran with Tajweed.

After that, the Commander of the Faithful presented the Mohammed VI Award for “People of the Quran” and the Mohammed VI Award for “People of Hadith” to their respective winners, Mr. Mohammed Idrissi Taheri from Agadir and Mr. Mustafa Azriah from Tetouan.

His Majesty the King also presented the Mohammed VI Award for Quranic Kuttabs in its three branches to Mr. Abdul Salam Khayali from Qalaa Sraghna (Teaching Methodology Award), Mr. Abdullah Rais from Tiznit (Productivity Award), and Mr. Mohammed Mazouz from Tangier (Management Award).

Following that, His Majesty presented the Mohammed VI Award for Adhan and Tahleel in its two branches to Mr. Ayoub Nadi from Tangier (Appreciation Award) and Mr. Abdul Qadir bin Rabih from Wadi Zem (Honorary Award).

On the occasion of this solemn religious ceremony, supplications were raised to the Almighty God to protect the Commander of the Faithful, the protector of the faith and religion, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and to grant him a clear victory, by which Islam and Muslims are glorified, and to crown his actions with success and achieve his aspirations and hopes, and to bless his wise steps, and to grant him joy with his Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Hassan, and to strengthen his support with his brother, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, and the rest of the noble royal family.

The attendees also prayed to the Almighty to shower his mercy and blessings on the deceased leaders of Arabism and Islam, His Majesty the late Mohammed V and Hassan II, to honor their resting places and sanctify their soil.

This religious ceremony was attended, in particular, by the Head of Government, the Speakers of the House of Representatives and the House of Councillors, His Majesty’s advisors, members of the government, representatives of the diplomatic corps of Islamic countries accredited to Morocco, senior officers of the Royal Armed Forces High Command, and other civil and military figures.   Sources et contenu associé
