Expected Movement Among Governors and Provincial Governors During Upcoming Ministerial Council

Fès News has learned from informed sources that a new movement of transfers and appointments among regional governors and provincial governors is imminent, and is expected to be approved during a ministerial council to be held in the coming days, chaired by His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

This movement is part of the administrative dynamic that the Ministry of the Interior has been regularly implementing, aiming to inject new blood and enhance efficiency in the management of territorial affairs, as required by the current stage, especially in light of preparations for the upcoming national elections and the major stakes related to the regional development plan.

According to the same sources, these appointments will include new names and others who will be transferred from their current positions. Some provinces and regions are expected to witness qualitative changes in territorial leadership, either for performance-related reasons or as part of the natural rotation of responsibility.

This movement is awaited with great anticipation within administrative and political circles, especially in light of some sensitive files in several regions, notably the Fès-Meknès region, which is witnessing significant dynamism and major projects in the areas of infrastructure, urban rehabilitation, and local affairs management.
