The Regional Judicial Police Department in Casablanca arrested a man with a criminal record on Wednesday, suspected of involvement in fraud and impersonation of a law enforcement officer.
Investigations revealed that the suspect used a criminal scheme in which he impersonated a police officer to deceive his victims and carry out fraudulent activities. Authorities were able to identify and apprehend him in the Hay Hassani district of Casablanca.
During the arrest and search operation, the suspect was found in possession of a plastic replica of a firearm, as well as a wireless device resembling those used by police officers.
The suspect has been placed under theoretical custody pending the completion of investigations supervised by the Public Prosecutor’s Office to uncover all details of the case and determine the full extent of his criminal activities.
