On Wednesday evening, March 26, the Agdal District organized a special celebration in the grand hall to honor the winners of the Quran Memorization and Recitation Contest, which saw wide participation from children, youth, and women affiliated with Quranic schools.
The spiritual event was attended by the President of the Agdal District Council, Mohamed Slimani Al-Houti Al-Hassani, along with council members, including the First Vice President of the council, Abdelkader Dabbagh, as well as the parents of the winners. The event was filled with pride and joy, celebrating the accomplishments of the Quran memorization champions.
In his speech, Abdelkader Dabbagh praised the efforts made to ensure the success of this Quranic night, commending the associations and organizers who contributed to the event. He also expressed admiration for the emerging Quranic talents, particularly 11-year-old Abdullah Al-Satti, who had memorized 60 parts of the Quran. Dabbagh wished him and all the winners a bright future in the pursuit of knowledge and the Quran.
In a related announcement, the First Vice President revealed plans to organize a larger competition next year in partnership with the Mohammed VI Foundation for African Scholars, which is under royal patronage and includes scholars from across Africa. The initiative aims to expand the reach of Quranic competitions both nationally and continentally.
The evening concluded with prayers for the late Haj Abdelaziz Qassar, whose contributions to supporting such initiatives left a lasting impact, thanks to his wisdom and guidance. The First Vice President also thanked the leaders of the associations who played a role in the success of the event, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in reinforcing religious values and promoting attention to the Holy Quran.
