Amid the rapid expansion of the digital space and the increasing threats related to fraud, cyberbullying, and dangerous content, the Digital Content Observatory has emerged as a leading civil organization in Morocco specializing in training, awareness, and defending digital rights.
Founded in 2008 in Fes, the organization was initially known as the “Computer Experts Association.” Over time, it restructured itself and expanded its scope to become a specialized observatory that keeps pace with rapid technological changes and contributes to creating a safer and more responsible digital space.
The observatory enjoys strong support from the International Private School of Technology, a key partner in providing training, guidance, and technical support, especially for youth, students, and digital entrepreneurs.
Goals of the Digital Content Observatory:
- Digital Training and Qualification:
The observatory organizes training sessions and workshops for citizens and various professional groups to enhance digital skills and raise awareness about protecting themselves in the digital world. - Awareness and Sensitization:
It launches regular awareness campaigns aimed at combating digital risks that threaten users, particularly digital fraud, malicious links, cyberbullying, and fraudulent e-commerce. - Supporting and Assisting Victims:
One of the observatory’s key roles is to provide support and guidance to victims of cybercrimes, whether through legal advice, psychological support, or connecting them with the appropriate authorities. - Partnership and Cooperation with Institutions:
The observatory collaborates with security, educational, and media institutions to unify national efforts in combating digital threats and building a responsible digital citizenship culture. - Monitoring and Documentation:
The observatory collects data on patterns of fraud and breaches in Morocco and publishes periodic analytical reports to inform the public and contribute to the development of public policies in the digital field.
Why is the Observatory More Important Now Than Ever?
With the growing use of smartphones, the expansion of e-commerce, and the daily involvement of citizens in social media, digital fraud activities have also increased. This makes the Digital Content Observatory an essential civil voice in protecting citizens from falling into digital traps.
Today, the observatory is considered one of the first civil organizations in Morocco to adopt digital rights issues and continues its dedicated work for a safe, free, and responsible digital society.
