The Fes-Meknes Regional Investment Center held its 13th board meeting on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at the Fes Conference Palace, chaired by Mr. Karim Zidan, Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Investment, Coordination, and Public Policy Evaluation, with the attendance of all board members.
This meeting was part of the ongoing reform of regional investment centers, in line with the royal directives and the provisions of Law No. 22.24 amending and supplementing Law No. 47.18. The session focused on presenting the center’s 2024 achievements and approving its financial statements for the same year.
In his opening speech, the minister praised the royal foundations that have made investment a central driver of development, highlighting the importance of accelerating the implementation of measures aimed at boosting private investment and monitoring its field execution. He also commended the essential role of regional centers as a single point of contact for investors, and as an active force in simplifying procedures and directing investment toward promising sectors.
The minister emphasized the dynamism of the Fes-Meknes Regional Investment Center and the positive role of the Regional Unified Investment Committee, noting the need to continue efforts to tackle current economic challenges and seize future opportunities.
The minister also urged the center’s director to prepare a new action plan that incorporates a territorial approach to economic development in the region and to present it at the next session for adoption as a roadmap to stimulate investment and improve integrated territorial offerings.
For his part, the director of the regional investment center presented the 2024 achievements, accompanied by a detailed report on the financial statements.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the board unanimously approved all agenda items, praising the center’s achievements and calling for further efforts to enhance investment in the region.
