As part of the cultural program for the holy month of Ramadan, the Royal Police Institute in Kenitra organized a Quran recitation competition on Monday, March 24, 2025, for police officers and trainees working at the institute and various affiliated police training schools. The competition was held in coordination and under the supervision of the Regional Delegation of Islamic Affairs in Kenitra.
The competition aimed to showcase the talents and abilities of the General Directorate of National Security personnel in reciting the Holy Quran according to the correct Tajweed rules. It witnessed wide participation, with 42 contestants from various ranks competing in a preliminary stage that resulted in the qualification of ten reciters for the finals.
At the conclusion of the competition, the jury from the Regional Delegation of Islamic Affairs in Kenitra announced the winners, three contestants representing security guard training schools in Abi al-Qanadil, Tangier, and Kenitra.
The closing ceremony included the awarding of the winners and the distribution of commemorative shields and certificates of appreciation. The jury members were also honored for their efforts in organizing this religious competition.
On the occasion of this event, an Iftar banquet was held in honor of the participants and winners, attended by the Director of Human Resources at the General Directorate of National Security, the Wali of Kenitra, the Director of the Royal Police Institute, as well as the institute’s staff, employees, and trainees.
The organization of this competition reflects the General Directorate of National Security’s keenness to promote religious and cultural values among its personnel and encourage them to adhere to the teachings of the Islamic faith.
