With $5 Billion in One Day: America Opens Doors to Golden Residency for the Wealthy

In an unprecedented move, the United States announced the sale of a thousand “golden residency” cards in just 24 hours, generating $5 billion for the state treasury in one go. This comes as part of a new program that offers permanent residency in America for $5 million per individual, without the need for citizenship.

U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick confirmed in an interview with the All-In podcast that the program’s popularity exceeded expectations. He noted that the initiative came under the direct guidance of the previous president, aiming to attract global investors and “the most productive people,” in his words.

The program grants holders of the “golden card” the right to permanent residency in the United States, with a significant tax exemption on global income, where taxes are only imposed on income earned within the country.

Speaking personally, Lutnick said, “If I didn’t live here, I would buy six cards: for me, my wife, and my four children… I want to ensure entry into America in times of war or disaster, and hear: Welcome home, Lutnick family.”

The minister emphasized that the card is not legal immunity, as it can be revoked immediately if any violation of the law is proven. He pointed out that there are approximately 37 million people worldwide capable of purchasing this card.

This program is expected to represent a significant shift in U.S. immigration and investment policies, with the administration betting on huge financial inflows in exchange for residency, and attracting minds and capital to support the local economy.
