Moroccan Land Registry to Adopt Electronic Payment System for All Transactions Starting April 14th

The National Agency for Land Registry, Cadastre and Cartography (ANCFCC) has announced a new step in the digitization of its services, with the mandatory adoption of an electronic payment system for land registry fees starting Monday, April 14, 2025.

A memorandum issued by the General Conservator, addressed to land registrars, clarified that this decision comes as part of the continued implementation of Decree No. 2.18.181 issued on Rabi’ al-Akhir 2, 1440 (December 10, 2018), which specifies the conditions and procedures for the electronic management of land registration operations and related services.

This measure will cover all deposit or registration requests in the land registers submitted through the Document Deposit Register for Study (R1). The memorandum indicated that the Land Registry Directorate will communicate with those concerned regarding the details of implementing this procedure, with the possibility of referring to the competent central departments in case of any difficulties during implementation.

This decision comes within the framework of Morocco’s digital transformation strategy and the modernization of public administration, facilitating procedures for citizens and professionals in the real estate sector.
