The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) has initiated several new security measures to bolster its infrastructure and services. This includes the establishment of a new traffic accident service in Safro and a second traffic accident service along with a mobile police unit in Taza. These developments are part of the DGSN’s annual plans to strengthen police structures and bring services closer to citizens.
The creation of these new security services aligns with the DGSN’s broader strategy to modernize police facilities, update security installations, and modernize headquarters. This aims to provide integrated workspaces that improve working conditions for officers and enhance reception facilities for the public.
In a related context, the DGSN has announced a series of new appointments in leadership positions across cities like Taza, Agadir, Dakhla, Salé, and Tétouan. These appointments include seven new positions for police officials, such as the head of the second traffic accident service in Taza, a police chief in Tétouan, and the head of the tourist police in Salé.
Additionally, appointments were made for the head of the criminal unit and the head of the gang-fighting unit in Dakhla, as well as a commander and deputy commander for the mobile order maintenance group in Agadir. These appointments reflect the DGSN’s ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of its human resources by rotating leadership positions and entrusting operational management to highly trained security personnel.
These measures are designed to support the integrity of the electoral process by preventing the misuse of public funds or association resources for electoral purposes. As elections approach, the Ministry of Interior is expected to intensify its oversight of activities related to associations receiving public support, ensuring they are not used to serve electoral agendas at the expense of public interest.
