Technical Malfunction Disrupts Fez Court of Appeal Systems – Ministry of Justice Clarifies

The Moroccan Ministry of Justice has clarified that the temporary technical disruption reported since Thursday at the Fez Court of Appeal only affects internal applications used by court employees and does not impact the digital services available to the public via the “Mahakim” platform.

In an official statement, the ministry attributed the issue to an internet outage caused by excavation work that damaged the main cable outside the courthouse premises.

The national telecommunications provider, Maroc Telecom, is currently working to restore service as quickly as possible. The ministry assured that specialized technical teams are closely monitoring the situation to ensure the system is back online soon.

Expressing regret over the unexpected disruption, the ministry reassured court visitors and legal professionals that the issue is temporary and will not affect the continuity of digital services for the public.
