Ilham Al-Bain, a member of the Zouagha District Council, has submitted an official complaint to the head of the Zouagha urban district in Fes, urgently requesting intervention to repair public lighting in several neighborhoods suffering from complete darkness, posing a serious risk to residents.
The complaint highlighted that numerous previous attempts to contact the relevant authorities had yielded no tangible solutions. Several areas, including Ain Smen, Block B, Block Al-Qarawiyyin, Sidi El Hadi, and Al-Anbara, remain unlit, exposing residents to various dangers, particularly assaults and theft.
Ilham Al-Bain emphasized in her complaint that the ongoing darkness in these neighborhoods exacerbates the sense of insecurity. She stressed that urgent action from the responsible authorities is necessary to ensure residents’ safety and improve their quality of life.
The complaint concluded with a call for the responsible authorities to take the matter seriously and find a swift solution to restore lighting in the affected neighborhoods, expressing hope for an immediate response to alleviate residents’ suffering.
