Oukacha Prison in Casablanca Announces Regular Cell Inspections for Nassiri, Denies Any Privileges for Him or Baioui

The administration of Ain Sebaa 1 Prison, commonly known as Oukacha Prison, has denied granting any special privileges to the former president of Wydad Casablanca, Saïd Nassiri, or businessman Abdelnabi Baioui, affirming that all inmates are treated equally in accordance with the institution’s regulations.

In an official statement, the prison administration clarified that Nassiri’s cell undergoes regular inspections, and no prohibited items have been found inside. The statement emphasized that he does not receive any preferential treatment.

This clarification comes in response to claims made by former inmate Noureddine Aouaj, who released a video alleging that Nassiri and Baioui enjoy special privileges in prison, despite being in pretrial detention in connection with the high-profile case known as “Escobar of the Sahara”, which is linked to drug trafficking.

Additionally, the prison administration refuted allegations that Baioui’s cell was repainted before his arrival, stressing that maintenance work, including painting, is conducted based on institutional needs and not related to specific detainees. It further noted that accommodation in Wing 11 follows the standard classification system without favoritism.
