They Wanted to Send People to the Hospital! Coordinated Security Effort Thwarts Distribution of Pharmaceutical Products, Including Sexual Stimulants and Abortion Drugs

Police forces in Marrakech and Beni Mellal successfully carried out two security operations on Monday evening, leading to the arrest of three individuals suspected of trafficking smuggled pharmaceutical products that pose a serious risk to public health.

According to preliminary information, the first operation in Marrakech resulted in the arrest of a 42-year-old woman who was selling smuggled medications online, claiming they facilitated abortions. A search of her possession led to the seizure of 158 contraband medical pills, along with a sum of money suspected to be proceeds from this illegal activity.

The second operation, conducted by police in Beni Mellal, led to the arrest of two individuals suspected of selling smuggled medications marketed as sexual stimulants via social media. The search resulted in the confiscation of 2,903 units of contraband pharmaceutical products, which were allegedly being sold through illegal channels.

The suspects have been placed under judicial investigation under the supervision of the relevant public prosecutors to determine the full details of these cases and establish the criminal offenses attributed to them.
