During the annual general meeting, the president of the Fes Sports Federation, Mr. Abdelhadi Serhan, highlighted a year of considerable efforts and progress across various fronts. He emphasized the club’s achievements, particularly in sports activities and club development, despite financial challenges.
“The annual report we presented reflects a full year of efforts on all levels. We have made significant progress in sports activities and the overall development of the club,” said Mr. Serhan. “We put considerable effort into improving the infrastructure and providing a better environment for our members, despite facing financial difficulties.”
Regarding the financial report, Mr. Serhan noted that the club’s financial situation had been negatively impacted by ongoing construction work around the club’s premises. He explained, “The entire city is undergoing development, and part of the wall surrounding the club was destroyed during this work. We are now working on rebuilding this wall, which will incur additional costs that may affect the club’s income.”
He also addressed the negative impact of the club’s closure during Ramadan, stating that the lack of activities during this period significantly affected the club’s revenue. “During Ramadan, we face another challenge due to the club’s closure and the lack of sporting activities, which increases the financial pressures on the club.”
On the club’s sports performance, Mr. Serhan praised the excellent results achieved by the Fes Sports Federation teams at both national and regional levels. “In individual sports, we achieved remarkable results, particularly in athletics, swimming, and cycling, where our athletes secured top positions in national championships. This reflects the hard work we have put in,” he added. “As for team sports, the club is working on improving its performance in these sports, despite limited support, and we will continue to focus on their development.”
In conclusion, Mr. Serhan assured Fes News that the club will continue its efforts to promote sports activities in Fes, despite financial challenges. He emphasized that ongoing support from the concerned authorities will play a crucial role in ensuring the club’s continued success and sustainable growth.
