The judicial police force in the regional security area of Mohammedia opened a judicial investigation on Sunday, February 23, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office. This investigation aims to determine all the circumstances and details surrounding a murder committed by a 73-year-old man against his daughter and son-in-law using a hunting rifle.
Preliminary data from the investigation indicate that the suspect used a hunting rifle to shoot his daughter and her husband, aged 43 and 60, respectively, inside their home located in the “Hassania 2” neighborhood of Mohammedia. Investigations are currently ongoing to uncover the familial reasons and background that led to this crime.
The investigation procedures have resulted in the arrest of the suspect at the crime scene and the seizure of the hunting rifle used in these criminal acts.
The bodies of the victims have been deposited in the morgue pending autopsy, while the suspect has been placed under police custody pending further judicial investigation supervised by the competent public prosecutor’s office.
