Temara, February 23, 2025 — Judicial police officers in the city of Temara successfully arrested three individuals on the evening of Saturday, February 22, 2025, on suspicion of posting violent content on social media. The content documented dangerous activities in public spaces, posing a threat to citizen safety and the security of road users.
The National Security’s Cyber Surveillance Unit had identified video content circulating on social media that threatened public order and endangered citizens. This prompted investigations that led to the identification and subsequent arrest of the suspects in Temara.
According to preliminary findings, the suspects were using plastic water guns filled with gasoline to ignite fires in public areas, endangering public infrastructure, personal safety, and property. They were also engaging in reckless stunts and dangerous challenges that posed a risk to road users.
The search operations resulted in the seizure of the plastic water gun used in these dangerous acts, along with equipment, ropes, small-sized bladed weapons, and a rented vehicle used for these hazardous activities on public roads.
The three suspects have been placed under police custody as part of the ongoing judicial investigation supervised by the relevant public prosecutor’s office. The investigation aims to uncover the circumstances and details of these actions, which represent a genuine threat to the safety of individuals and both public and private property.
