Akhannouch’s Fes Meknès region governor’s letter on employee absences during official working hours

The governor of the Fes-Meknes region has sent an official letter to the head of the Fes Community Council, under the supervision of the head of the Agdal urban area, regarding the absence of some of the community’s employees during official working hours.

The letter, dated February 8, 2025, explained that some employees continue to be preoccupied with their phone calls or leave their administrative workplaces during official working hours, which reflects negatively on the normal functioning of public facilities and raises the discontent of citizens who rely on these administrations for their interests.

He called on the governor to take all necessary measures to ensure that employees respect the official working hours within the administrations, while adhering to their professional duties, in order to serve the public interest.

The move comes within the framework of the authorities’ keenness to strengthen administrative discipline and improve the quality of services provided to citizens, especially in light of increasing complaints about the delay in completing administrative transactions as a result of the absence of some employees.
