Fez Hosts an Economic Meeting Unveiling Tax Incentives and Major Investment Opportunities

As part of ongoing efforts to raise awareness among economic stakeholders about the latest tax updates and to stimulate investment, an informative meeting was held yesterday, Wednesday, in the city of Fez. The event was organized by the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services of the Fez-Meknes region, and the Order of Chartered Accountants of Fez-Meknes and the Eastern region (OEC-FMO).

According to sources from Fes News, the meeting focused on encouraging businesses to regularize their tax status while providing detailed explanations of the 2025 Finance Law, which includes measures aimed at promoting investment and job creation.

During the event, Mohamed Amouri, President of the Order of Chartered Accountants of Fez-Meknes and the Eastern region, presented an honorary shield to the Governor of the Fez-Meknes region, Moâd El Jamai, in recognition of his role in supporting the business environment and enhancing Fez’s attractiveness, especially in light of its preparations to host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

The same sources reported that Governor Moâd El Jamai emphasized in his speech that Fez is now a safe and high-quality investment destination, urging investors to connect with the Regional Investment Center (CRI) to take advantage of available opportunities in newly developed industrial zones, which benefit from government support and significant regional incentives.

Additionally, Abdelouahed Ansari, President of the Regional Council, highlighted the importance of major projects in boosting the local economy. Meanwhile, Abdellah Hamdach, Regional Director of Taxation, outlined key tax amendments, particularly regarding income tax, corporate tax, and value-added tax (VAT).

According to Fes News sources, the event saw a strong turnout of economic actors, who gained in-depth insights into the new tax mechanisms, further strengthening the business climate and supporting the region’s development trajectory.
