Israel Receives Names of Four Hostages Whose Remains Are to Be Handed Over on Thursday

Israel has received the names of four hostages whose remains are scheduled to be handed over on Thursday by Hamas, as part of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza after 15 months of war, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office on Wednesday.

The office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that “Israel has received the list of deceased hostages who are to be returned tomorrow (Thursday) as part of the agreement,” noting that the families of the hostages have been informed.

In addition, the Hostage Families Forum announced on Wednesday evening that it had received confirmation of the deaths of the two Bibas children and their mother, as well as a fourth hostage in Gaza, whose remains are to be handed over to Israel by Hamas on Thursday.

In a statement, the Forum, which represents families of hostages abducted in Israel during the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, said: “We have received the devastating news that Shiri Bibas, her children Ariel and Kfir, and Oded Lifshitz are no longer with us.”

This development comes as part of ongoing efforts to implement the ceasefire agreement and complete the hostage exchange process, amid a wave of grief and sorrow among the families and the Israeli community.
