After days of intense anticipation and thorough searches, the search for the missing child Ahmed, who disappeared on February 9, has ended in tragedy. Security authorities in the city of Inezgane discovered his body last night, February 17, inside an abandoned canal, far from the mouth of the Souss River, where search operations had been ongoing for days.
A team of 12 professional divers participated in the search, scanning approximately three kilometers of the river’s mouth toward the Atlantic Ocean on the evening of February 17.
According to an official who confirmed the discovery, investigations are still underway to determine the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident. Meanwhile, grief and sorrow have engulfed Ahmed’s family and all those who followed the case with concern and hope.
