The General Directorate of Meteorology reported that a number of regions of the Kingdom are expected to witness strong snowfalls and thunderstorms starting today, Tuesday, to continue until Wednesday, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology.
According to a warning bulletin of “orange” alert level, the heights above 1800 meters will witness snowfalls ranging from 15 to 30 cm in thickness, which will include the provinces of Beni Mellal, Azilal, Al Hawz, Ouarzazate, Midelt and Tinghir.
Some other areas will also be subject to less intense precipitation, as it is expected to range between 10 and 15 cm in Boulman, Ifrane and Khenifra, while light snowfalls will be between 2 and 8 cm in Fekik, Taroudant, Safro and Chichaoua.
In addition, the directorate warned of strong showers, ranging from 20 to 35 mm, which may be accompanied by thunderstorms, and will affect the provinces of Al-Houz, Ifrane, Khenifra, Azilal, Beni Mellal and Safro, during the period from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
This warning comes at a sensitive time, which requires citizens to take caution and caution while traveling in these areas.
