During the General Secretariat meeting of the Justice and Development Party on Saturday, February 15, 2025, Secretary-General Abdelilah Benkirane issued strong warnings about the forced displacement of Palestinians. He described it as a dangerous scheme that threatens the very existence of the Islamic nation while reinforcing corruption and tyranny in the region.
Benkirane emphasized that he does not advocate conflict with leaders, presidents, or kings but instead calls for reconciliation and cooperation among all political forces—whether Islamic, leftist, or right-wing—to confront the real threat that affects everyone: the Israeli occupation and its supporters.
He stressed the importance of overcoming internal divisions and uniting to face the challenges confronting the Islamic nation. He argued that the current phase requires collective efforts from governments, Islamic movements, and various political forces to counter plans aimed at erasing the Palestinian cause.
Benkirane also pointed to the key role of the United States in advancing these projects, while noting that some European countries have begun to shift their stance. In this context, he praised the position of the Hamas movement, which now recognizes the importance of cooperating with Arab nations, particularly Saudi Arabia, to confront this shared threat.
According to Benkirane, if the forced displacement of Palestinians succeeds, it will pave the way for major powers—especially the United States—to impose their will on the Islamic world without resistance. He warned that this scenario would render the Islamic nation powerless in global affairs, exposing it to further arbitrary decisions and foreign interventions.
He sharply criticized the policies of some Arab and Palestinian authorities, accusing them of facilitating these plans. He stated that the Palestinian Authority bears significant responsibility in this matter. He further argued that Islamic history has never witnessed instances where Muslim nations surrendered their people to their enemies in such a manner, calling it a stain on the history of the Islamic world.
Rejecting the notion of treating the Palestinian issue as merely a refugee crisis, Benkirane asserted that this is not about hosting displaced individuals but rather about the systematic usurpation of land and rights. He warned that these conspiracies aim to impose direct American dominance over the region alongside the existing Israeli control, further escalating the dangers facing the region.
Benkirane concluded his speech by calling for an end to internal conflicts and urging unity among all components of the Islamic nation. He stressed that this is not a time for division but rather a moment for solidarity and collective resistance against all efforts to eliminate the Palestinian cause.
