Local sources have learned that a number of parents of students and attendees of the Anassi Mosque, as well as residents of the Riad Ismailia and Anassi neighborhoods in the city of Meknes, called on the local authorities to intervene urgently to prevent the opening of a liquor store and withdraw the license to operate it.
This demand comes within the framework of preserving public security and ensuring respect for the feelings of the local population, especially since the shop is located near an educational institution and a mosque, which has raised residents’ concerns about the possible negative effects on their children and the social environment of the neighborhood.
The residents call on the concerned authorities to take the necessary measures to prevent the opening of the shop, to avoid any tension that may result from its continuation in this sensitive location, while emphasizing the importance of respecting the social balance and the requirements of public tranquility.
