As part of ongoing security efforts to combat illegal drug trafficking and psychotropic substances, police officers from the Ain Taoujtat Police Commission, in close coordination with the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), successfully arrested a man in his twenties on the morning of Friday, February 14, 2025, on suspicion of possessing and distributing ecstasy pills.
This security operation was based on precise intelligence, which helped track the suspect’s movements. He was arrested immediately upon arrival by train from Tangier. A search of his belongings led to the seizure of 1,800 ecstasy pills, in addition to a sum of money suspected to be proceeds from drug trafficking.
The suspect was placed under judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office to uncover all details related to this case and identify any potential national or local criminal connections.
This operation is part of a broader security strategy aimed at dismantling drug trafficking networks, preventing the spread of psychotropic substances, and safeguarding public safety from the dangers of these harmful substances.
