Security Operation in Beni Mellal Leads to Arrest of Fraud Suspect

In a precise security operation, police officers from the Beni Mellal Security Directorate arrested a suspect on the afternoon of Tuesday, January 28, for allegedly being involved in fraud and deception by impersonating legally regulated identities. The arrest was made based on intelligence provided by the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST).

According to preliminary findings, the suspect deceived his victims by falsely claiming to be an official within the central services of the General Directorate of National Security. By exploiting this false identity, he was able to manipulate and defraud individuals without raising suspicion.

During the arrest and search operation, security personnel seized two electronic devices suspected of containing digital evidence linked to his fraudulent activities, along with a sum of money believed to be proceeds from these crimes.

The suspect has been placed under police custody pending judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecution.
