Sad news for Wydad Tanger. The football club has lost one of its young players, Mohamed Bakkali, who passed away following a serious road accident.
The accident occurred during the night from Friday to Saturday. The 15-year-old player was riding a motorcycle with another person when they collided with the wall of a tunnel. Both victims were seriously injured and transported to the hospital in Tangier, where they were admitted to the emergency room. Unfortunately, Mohamed Bakkali succumbed to his injuries.
The announcement of his sudden death has caused deep emotion and sadness among his family and club members. “Today, we have lost one of our loyal children, Mohamed Bakkali, who has left an indelible mark in our hearts. We ask God to grant him mercy and to give patience to his family and friends,” stated Wydad Tanger in a statement published on their official page.
Sports circles in the city have also expressed their sorrow over the loss of this young talent. They have called on the authorities to enhance awareness regarding road safety to prevent such tragedies in the future.
