Security services in Casablanca announced on Friday, January 10, the opening of a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office following a report of a five-year-old boy subjected to violence within his family. The boy’s 32-year-old mother is the main suspect in the case.
The incident came to light after the principal of a local educational institution alerted the police. Educational staff noticed visible injuries on the child’s body, some of which were recent while others appeared older, in sensitive areas. The specialized unit for child protection intervened immediately, ensuring medical care and psychological support for the child.
Preliminary investigations led to the arrest of the boy’s mother, suspected of inflicting harm on her son using a heated object. Further inquiries aim to uncover the motives behind this alleged behavior and to reveal all the details surrounding the case.
The suspect is currently in police custody pending investigation, as directed by the public prosecutor’s office. Authorities are working to determine the full circumstances of this tragic incident and to take appropriate legal actions.
