The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts unstable weather today, Sunday, in several regions of Morocco, with rain and thunderstorms expected during the afternoon and evening in the plains north of Essaouira, the phosphates plateaus and Walmas, the Rif, the Mediterranean coast, the Saïs region, northern Middle Atlas, and the eastern region.
Winds are expected to be relatively strong to locally strong over the Atlantic plains north of Essaouira, the Rif, and western Mediterranean. Frost or ice formation is also anticipated at night and in the morning over highlands and neighboring areas, with relatively cool to cold weather inland.
In the morning, local fog banks will form near the northern coasts, along with local dust dispersion in the southern regions.
Temperature:
- Minimum: Ranging from -3 to 3 degrees in the Atlas and eastern high plateaus, from 9 to 14 degrees near the coasts, and from 4 to 10 degrees in other regions.
- Daytime: Stability or slight increase.
Sea Conditions:
- Calm to slightly rough in the Mediterranean.
- Slightly rough to rough in the Strait of Gibraltar and between Tangier and Ras Nador.
- Calm to slightly rough between Tan-Tan and Laayoune.
- Slightly rough along other coasts.
