The court also ordered the permanent closure of the YouTube channel through which “Hiyam Star” used to publish inappropriate videos.
This verdict comes in the context of a series of legal actions against social media influencers accused of violating public morals and exploiting children online. The case has sparked a wide debate about the responsibility of social media influencers and their role in shaping public behavior.
The sentencing reflects the authorities’ efforts to tighten control over digital content and protect children from online exploitation. This case, along with similar ones, has raised discussions about the need for a clear legal framework to protect children in the digital space while taking into account the Moroccan reality.
The court’s decision to permanently close the YouTube channel demonstrates the seriousness with which such offenses are being treated, especially when they involve the exploitation of minors and the spread of content deemed harmful to public morals.
