The Executive Office of the Moroccan Judges’ Club held a regular meeting on Saturday to discuss several issues within its jurisdiction, in accordance with the club’s bylaws and to achieve the objectives set out in its fourth article.
In a press statement, the club affirmed its commitment to its constitutional and legal role in implementing judicial reform plans under the wise leadership of King Mohammed VI. The club aims to contribute to improving decisions and projects related to the judiciary and justice before the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power, and to strengthen the constitutional and legal guarantees granted to judges to protect their independence, within the framework of the principle of participatory democracy stipulated in Chapter 12 of the Constitution.
During the meeting, the club discussed several issues related to supporting the independence and integrity of the judiciary, enhancing the guarantees given to judges, and increasing judicial efficiency. It decided to submit detailed results of these issues and its perceptions for solving related problems to the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power, in accordance with Article 110 of the Organic Law relating to the Council.
The club also identified many difficulties and constraints related to logistical aspects in the courts, in addition to social aspects, in cooperation with a group of judicial officials and working judges. It decided to submit some proposals in this regard to the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power with the aim of facilitating their resolution and providing better working conditions within the courts, which would help judges perform their constitutional duties in accordance with Chapter 117 of the Constitution.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Executive Office of the Moroccan Judges’ Club renewed its commitment to achieving the goals for which it was established, as defined in Article 4 of its bylaws, in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution, the law, the royal directives, as well as relevant international instruments.
