The Kingdom of Morocco has experienced varied rainfall across different regions over the past twenty-four hours, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology. Kalaat M’Gouna in the Errachidia province topped the list of areas receiving the most rain, recording the highest amount at 24 millimeters.
Some areas in the Ouarzazate province came in second in terms of rainfall, recording 15 millimeters, followed by the city of Tetouan, which witnessed rainfall of 13 millimeters. The city of Ouarzazate recorded 9 millimeters, while Fez city experienced rainfall of 3 millimeters, and Meknes 2 millimeters.
The General Directorate of Meteorology indicated that some areas recorded less than one millimeter of rainfall, including Kenitra, Taza (airport), Salé, Ben Slimane, Midelt, Taroudant, and Laayoune.
These rainfalls come at a time when the Kingdom of Morocco is experiencing diverse weather fluctuations, emphasizing the importance of continuously monitoring weather bulletins to prepare for any potential changes in weather conditions. These rains are considered an important source for replenishing water resources in the kingdom, especially in areas suffering from water scarcity.
It remains important for local authorities and citizens to take necessary measures to deal with these rainfalls, especially in areas that have experienced larger amounts of rain, in order to avoid any potential negative effects such as floods or soil erosion.
