Mohammed Ouzine Criticizes Government Policies, Calls for Comprehensive Reforms

During a public session dedicated to the monthly oral questions to the Prime Minister on general public policy, held on Monday, December 16, 2024, Mohammed Ouzine, Secretary-General of the Popular Movement Party, launched a scathing critique of the current government policies. He highlighted what he described as the imbalances hindering comprehensive development and social justice.

In his speech, Ouzine addressed a number of key issues affecting Moroccan citizens, emphasizing that the government had failed to fulfill many of the promises made in its election program, which has negatively impacted the country’s economic and social situation.

Ouzine said, “The government is now required to reconsider its priorities and place the Moroccan citizen at the center of its concerns, rather than focusing on decisions that lack a clear strategic vision.”

Ouzine discussed several issues, including the rising cost of living, pointing out the increasing economic burden on citizens in the absence of effective government measures to alleviate the crisis. He also addressed youth unemployment, stating that current government policies have failed to create sufficient job opportunities for young Moroccans, despite repeated promises. Furthermore, he did not overlook regional disparities, highlighting the marginalization faced by many regions and calling for the need to achieve regional justice to ensure balanced development across Morocco.

In conclusion, Ouzine called on the government to take responsibility and listen to the concerns of the Moroccan people. He emphasized that the time had come for more comprehensive and effective policies that achieve sustainable development and strengthen citizens’ trust in state institutions.
