The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued its weather forecast for Tuesday, December 17, 2024. The day is expected to be relatively cold with local frost forming during the morning and night hours in mountainous areas, their neighboring regions, and the eastern part of the country.
Partially cloudy skies are anticipated over the Rif, Saiss, Oulmès, and the Middle and High Atlas mountains and their eastern slopes. Some fog formations are expected at night along the northern and central coasts.
Strong to locally very strong winds are forecast in the Anti-Atlas regions and the Saharan provinces, accompanied by sand or dust storms.
Minimum temperatures will range from -1 to 5 degrees Celsius in the Atlas regions, their eastern slopes, the Rif, and the Eastern High Plateaus; between 18 and 22 degrees Celsius in the western parts of the southern provinces; and between 8 and 14 degrees Celsius in the rest of the country. Daytime temperatures are expected to see a slight decrease.
Regarding sea conditions, the Mediterranean Sea and the Strait of Gibraltar will be calm to slightly rough, while the Atlantic coast will experience calm to slightly choppy seas.
These weather predictions indicate fluctuations in weather conditions throughout the day, calling for citizens to take necessary precautions, especially in areas that will experience lower temperatures or strong winds.
