The Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) met on Monday, December 16, 2024, in Marrakech under the chairmanship of CAF President Patrice Motsepe. The committee approved the 2025 competition calendar and set the date for the final draw of the Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025.
Motsepe opened the meeting by congratulating Morocco on hosting the 2030 FIFA World Cup in partnership with Portugal and Spain. During the meeting, held hours before the 2024 CAF Awards ceremony, the committee discussed CAF’s competition schedule for 2025 and beyond.
Motsepe announced that the draw for the final phase of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 will be held in Rabat on January 27, 2025. It was also decided that the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations will be held in Morocco in 2025 and 2026, while Côte d’Ivoire will host the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in 2025.

- CAF Champions League 2024-25: First leg final on May 24, second leg on June 1, 2025
- CAF Women’s Champions League 2025: Opening on November 8, final on November 23, 2025
- Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025: Opening match on December 21, 2025, final on January 18, 2026
The CAF President also held an extended meeting with representatives of the 54 member associations to discuss ways to develop football across the African continent.
